Electrical Engineer: Salary £30,000-45,000 DOE + Management Share Options

Job Description:

You will work with a small team of engineers and sub-contractors to progress the testing of our current 250kW prototype and development of our next-generation 2MW tidal turbine. You will be involved in electrical design and operation of systems such as electrical generators, variable speed drives, transformers, switchgear and protection systems, on both LV and HV systems. Your duties will also involve close interaction with the instrumentation and control team.

Principal Accountabilities:

- Assisting with electrical testing and commissioning including PLC and SCADA systems

Profile & Experience

Experience of HV, generation systems and PLCs, in addition to understanding the issues applicable to the offshore and renewables industry would be a distinct advantage, however a good attitude, work ethic, and ability and flexibility to contribute to a new technology are of primary importance.
