1/40th Scale – 2007-2008

With R&D support from the Carbon Trust, the team began testing a 1/40th scale model of the Scotrenewables Tidal Turbine  in 2007. This device was tested at Newcastle University’s tank testing facility. The test programme focused on rotor dynamics and added mass analysis.
